Before Installation: Disconnect battery negative terminal and wait at least 5 minutes for airbag discharge.

Centering: Keep front wheels straight. Do NOT remove the centering clip until fully installed. Turn rotor clockwise to stop, then back approx. 2.5 turns to center.

CALIBRATION (CRITICAL): After installation, calibrate G85 using VCDS/ODIS:

  1. Go to address word 16 (Steering wheel electronics).
  2. Select "Security Access" and enter code 40168.
  3. Choose "Basic Settings" (function 04) -> "Steering angle sensor: calibration".
  4. Turn wheel left/right ~30°, return to center, confirm.
  5. Clear fault codes.
