Installation Guide

1. 

Disconnect the Battery

● 

Disconnect the negative (-) terminal of the vehicle battery. Wait at least 90 seconds to allow the airbag capacitor to discharge.

● 

Warning: Failure to do so may cause the airbag to deploy accidentally.

2. 

Remove the Steering Wheel

● 

Remove the airbag module cover or screws (usually located on the back of the steering wheel). Carefully disconnect the airbag electrical connector. Use a steering wheel puller if necessary.

3. 

Remove the Old Clock Spring

● 

Remove the screws securing the old clock spring. Carefully disconnect the electrical harnesses. Take note of the wire routing and clock spring position.

4. 

Install the New Clock Spring

● 

Crucial Step: Set the clock spring to the "Center" position. Rotate it clockwise until it stops, then rotate it counterclockwise approximately 2.5 to 3.5 turns until the center mark aligns. This prevents overwinding.

5. 

Reconnect and Test

● 

Reconnect all connectors, reinstall the steering wheel, and tighten the center nut. Reconnect the battery. Turn on the ignition; the airbag light should turn off after a few seconds. Test the horn and controls.
